Somebody, Fix It, PLEASE!

The one thing about social media is, we get to know the thoughts and desires of people.  We post pictures ranging from our pets, children, funny things, sad things, what we’re doing, and the things that make us happy, sad or angry.  Quite often, people just complain about what isn’t right with Complainsomething, usually the government, including the leader of some government. We complain, we yell, we bit_h and moan about what someone is or is not doing, then we point the proverbial finger at those we say should do something… then we stop for a while… waiting for someone to do something, just because we’ve made our complaint known. When nothing changes, we start the process of complaining all over again. At times I wonder if we as a people ever learn anything, especially from our own mistakes and short-comings.

“We the People…” have forgotten that these three words says it all:  WE are the ones who are responsible for what we’re experiencing.  For those who vote, you are the ones responsible for the person you’re now complaining about, after all, you voted the person into office.  Those of us who didn’t vote the person/persons into office – Hey! Your job is no less done than anyone else! When there is someone in office who is causing not only you, but the majority of the nation to suffer, it is EVERYONE’S issue!  When will YOU stop pointing your finger while yelling and demanding someone else, “FIX IT!”?

I have a couple of questions for you:

  • Do you feel better that you’ve raised your voice, literally or in some social media posting, then drop the subject for a while, only to do it again at some future time?
  • Why are you demanding someone else do what you seem unwilling to do? Aren’t YOU somebody, someone?

Okay, maybe you’re feeling a bit out of your element, out of your comfort zone, or you just don’t know where to start; maybe you just feel insecure about doing something you’re not sure you can do alone. If these are some of your reasons, fine, I understand, all us can understand this – all of us have experienced the feeling of being “out of our comfort zone”. So, is there a solution? Is there some way you… all of us can be involved in bringing positive change to the world in which we live?

YES!  Most definitely!

How?

I’ll offer the following as an avenue for you to listen, then find what YOU ARE comfortable doing, then join others who are already doing keep-calm-and-we-will-fix-itsomething to bring the positive changes all of us want to see for ourselves and for the future of our loved ones.

I offer an archived radio program (below) as well as future programs which you can listen to repeatedly, you can download the programs and share them with others of like mind, then you can get involved in your own area… wherever you are in the world. The title of the programs are, “How to Make a Better World”. So far, the one below is archived, then there is one coming with the same title, but it’s listed as part 2.  Part 3 will air in the first week of November.

You’ve already have the experience of waiting for someone else to do something better, and so far little to nothing is happening, so get involved NOW!

YOU ARE SOMEBODY! Together WE will fix it.

Distractions and Reality

For the last few weeks, I’ve found myself withdrawing from the general populace – I say “found myself” because I have not intentionally moved in this direction, I just noticed that I’ve not been comfortable in the company of many.  Things – events that are unfolding around us seem to be ignored by the masses, but only obvious to [in my world] a few.  There are so many distractions in which people seem to give their attention, the real stories are unfolding with little to no attention.  If you live in the U.S., there are those who staunchly support certain politicians blindly for any number of reasons:  then there are those who vehemently hate either the same politicians, or some others.  Some strongly support the politiciansYour distraction 01 who intend on running for the presidency next year merely because of gender while ignoring the persons faults and failures.  As one person put it, “With several million people in the U.S., these are the only candidates that can be found to run for this office?”

Our distractions are numerous, and the majority of people enjoy distractions.  Some of us prefer distractions from reality for any number of reasons or excuses – you choose which applies to you.  In our advertising’s – no matter what country in which you live, sex plays a huge role in advertising.  Other advertisers attempt to destroy the reputation of another company while attempting to build their reputation on the rubble of the one(s) they’ve destroyed.  We’re constantly sold the idea that newer is better, without ever finding out how “newer” will affect our lives.  We want the newest of something while trusting companies and governments to have our best interest in their hearts.

Others yet seek to fight governments and corporations, but pay no attention to how the fighting affects them.  Kudos to those that are changing their eating habits from McDonald’s, but my question is, have you traded McDonald’s for another fast-food restaurant, or have you genuinely sought a better diet?  In comparison, have you sought to do the same to such industry leaders as the Koch Brothers?  These brothers are the ones that seek and often times succeed in buying the politicians you elect, they also start organizations to sway the future of society – while you’re distracted with other things.  Can you, will you give up the products and conveniences they provide?  All of the corporations they own are listed on the internet.  How about Monsanto?

Military distractionIn the middle east, there are those that will support the “poor” Palestinians, but because it’s an emotional decision, these same people will side with a people who are at best, fictitious.  A people in which even their leaders have admitted are fictitious, a people who are from many areas of the region, then claim Israel to be their homeland.  History denies them, and their leaders, on occasion admit it’s only a propaganda war, and you support it willingly.  For those who support them and other’s such as them anywhere in the world – in this day of easy to find information, this is nothing more than willful ignorance.

Very recently, I was just bouncing around in search engines and ran across literally “junk” that I had forgotten about, probably because such “junk” doesn’t exist here in Mexico (thank Heaven’s).  One such internet magazine was showing TV program titles they call, “FAILS”.  Most of the programs were from shows such as the “Jerry Springer Show” and “Maury”.  Some of the worst television ever to hit the airways.  While the U.S. is on their constant debate and distraction about whether Gay and Lesbian marriages should be legal, the real problems are an ever-growing population of literally stupid people: not just those who watch this programming, but the guests that appear on those programs.  Whether you believe them to be genuine or not isn’t the issue, what appears in media is far too often taken seriously, not to mention how that influences others, “Look!  See!  I’m not the only one that lives/believes this way!”  For the record, my belief concerning Gay and Lesbian marriage is this:  As far as States are concerned, if the two people wishing to join in matrimony love each other [as any heterosexual couple does], the State should grant the license.  After all, the States role is only for legal reasons such as, if one of the partners should die before themedia-distraction other, their property can legally be turned over to their mate.  If a religious institution speaks out against such marriages, that’s their right to uphold their beliefs.  If the two people really want to live together, legally or not, they will, so a marriage license is only a legal formality.

As for the Baltimore riots; we seem to have forgotten an old idiom, “It takes a community to raise children.”  Everyone is placing blame on someone or something, or both, all the while denying that we’re a community, and now with the aid of technology, we’re a global community.  Don’t believe it?  How many people can you see throughout your day with their faces looking down into their smartphones and tablets?  When was the last time you or others you know had a lengthy face-to-face conversation?  Another distraction?  Even here in Mexico, children and adults are virtually glued to their smartphones and MP3 music players.  So, what was going on in the world while the world was, and is strongly or loosely glued to the happenings in Baltimore?  Well, let’s see:  the volcano in Chile erupted again, with just as much force as the first one, AND only hours apart, another strong volcano in Indonesia erupted.  Both of these were so powerful,Control a distraction scientists around the world are monitoring the ash output via satellite.  While that’s going on, a lake of lava in Hawaii has overflowed.  By the way, do you know that not only is the magnetic north pole moving towards Siberia, Russia, but the magnetic south pole is moving to meet it?  Do you know what the possible consequences are?  These are only a couple of things going on that WILL eventually affect us all.  Do you care?

While most people I know acknowledge that the world is changing for the worst, then agrees that a positive change needs to happen soon, each individual is far too distracted to be a leader, or even an individual for positive change.  I see many reasons for the laissez faire attitude, ranging from:

  • I need to support my family;
  • I need to support my life-style;
  • I don’t want to be homeless;
  • I have bills to pay…

No One Understands Your JourneyAll of these are justifiable reasons, but is there something that you can do while fulfilling your personal obligations?  Do your ends justify the means?  Only you can answer these and other questions now, and in the future – no matter what the future brings.

While there is a constant battle for your attention, your money, your allegiances, the real world continues to ebb and flow without the attention of the masses.  While you’re concentrating on your distractions, even the subtle ones that pit us against each other, the world continues in its downward spiral.

Whether you claim a religion, or not, everyone can see that we as a global society will not change – we will never, in our current way of life, accomplish a unity which will grant us the peace most of us want.  There are far too many variations of peace, and as I’ve seen it, built upon someones Utopian ideals which work for that individual, or those of like-minds, but for those of us who disagree… ?

So, why did I write this?  I hope that you will see that:Make A Difference

  1. To bring about peace, it has to start with you.  If all you see is a war, whether a war of minds, thoughts, beliefs, life and lifestyle – that is how you will react.  You will find something and someone to fight;
  2. If your distractions are self-indulgent, you’ll never find peace, not personally or globally;
  3. If you see a need for peace personally and globally, it has to start with you – even if it ends with you.  If you have a “connection” with Someone/Something bigger than you, then you already know there is a “Master Plan”, and our “Free Will” is what will take us individually to a level which we can only speculate upon.  No one has been “there”, so we can only imagine what the future holds.  I’ve read and heard many different versions of what to expect – all I can say for the ones I know of is, as long as free will is granted to everyone, you may be on the correct path to a better future.  After all, even if you come from a (loosely put) Judeo-Christian background, the G-d of the Bible didn’t create a religion, He only wants you, me… everyone to KNOW Him.  Religions have a bad name because of men and women who want others to adhere to their beliefs. Grant everyone the freedom to choose as you have, it’s a start.

Our world is changing.  How will you journey through it with the time you have?  Peacefully, lovingly, or forcefully, with fear?  How will you make a difference?

What’s distracting you?

What the Hell is the Matter with You?

The world is going the way of an old expression, “Going to hell in a hand-basket”, and you aren’t doing a thing besides watching it happen.  What is wrong with you?

There is civil unrest in your communities; there are wars being waged almost everywhere in the world; there are “rumors” of wars to come – yet you do nothing but watch.  Do you really think this will just go away?  Or do you think this will just get better on its own?

A friend and I have discussed from time-to-time a topic we call, “Everything is as it should be.”  This is to say, no matter what we do, these events will happen anyway and for us to interfere is to be meddling.  Other friends and I have similar discussions and come to the thought that we are not merely observers here.  We were born on this planet, so it is our home.  We not only have the right to want better for ourselves, but it’s our obligation for ourselves and for everyone else as well.

I see, in probably my limited vision of what our problems are a few basic reasons for our current mess:

  • We’ve become the preeminent consumers.  If something is available to be purchased, we’ve gotta have it!  There’s no thought about need, just want.  Part of the reason for our wanton consumerism is the desire to make life “easier”.  Most of the time, those “things” do not make life easier.  Also, let’s bring up the loss of privacy most of us have forgotten about.  Do you think the only things being monitored by governments and corporations are your smart phones and computers?  Think again.  Also, if you’ve bought it, someone without the money wants to steal it, hack into it… etc.  You’ll be spending more time and money that you thought you gained with your new gadgets.
  • Because of our consumerism, if we have jobs, we don’t want to lose our jobs – our security.  Without our work, we feel that others will look down upon us, think that we’re not living to our potential – or theirs.  Heaven forbid others should see us being less than our peers.
  • Fear:  we’re afraid of what can, may or almost surely will happen if we speak out.  After all, it’s easier to salute whatever flag is waved before us so long as we live comfortably.
  • Lethargy:  “I’m just too tired after my day of… to get involved.”  Or maybe you ask, “What can I do?”  Have you ever tried sleeping with a mosquito flying around your head?
  • “That’s why I voted.  Those politicians are supposed to do my bidding.”  Yeah, they’re doing a great job, aren’t they?  You voted, then you let them run free with your future and that of our children, and their children.  Yeah, you’re the smart one aren’t you?

… by the time I got here, I forgot the other descriptive sentences I thought of, but as you can easily see, the above are some of the “reasons”, or if we’re to be honest, the excuses we give, and/or have heard for not being involved in OUR FUTURE.  What’s really being stated in the above is, your own immediate self interest is more important than the future – yours or even that of future generations.  As long as you have yours, or have the possibility of getting yours, to hell with anything or anyone else, right?

That brings me to entitlement: a rather short topic.  As long as you have yours, and those “above” you and below you leave you alone, you’re comfortable with your gains, no matter how you got them.  You want what others have, whether materially or otherwise:  those less fortunate than you?  “Awww, those poor people.  I hope someone helps them.”  End of subject.

You’re probably pissed at me by this time, or at least wanting to know what I’m doing that makes me any better.  Better?  I’m not any better than anyone else, besides, is making a comparison with me going to make life in this world any better?  If you’re honest, you know the answer is, NO!

I have friends that concentrate most of their time in working within governments to get them back on the track the forefathers instituted; yet others are fighting against the government for positive change; and there are those like me who work our tails off trying to get those with greater interest in themselves to see that they’re wearing blinders – they don’t see what’s going on around them.  Usually this is self-imposed blindness, but no matter the cause, they/you only see what you choose to see.  Of note here – some of what you see, hear and understand is not your fault.  There is so much misinformation thrown at us throughout each day, we don’t always know what is the truth, deception, cover-ups, or out-right lies.  But it is your job to understand what is going on and why.  As I stated above, I rather help people see what is so you can decide what you should do.  Each of us has different abilities, so why take the cookie-cutter way of working together?  Every action starts with thought – no thought, no action.

If you’re one who lives in the U.S.A., this applies mostly to and for you – if you live in another country and you have a similar constitution, you probably should check into the following:

  • Seventh Amendment: The Seventh Amendment continues a practice from English common law of distinguishing civil claims which must be tried before a jury (absent waiver by the parties) from claims and issues that may be heard by a judge alone.  It only governs federal civil courts and has no application to civil courts set up by the states when those courts are hearing only disputes of state law.Learn more…Amendment VIIIn suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law.

The Tenth Amendment helps to define the concept of federalism, the relationship between Federal and state governments. As Federal activity has increased, so too has the problem of reconciling state and national interests as they apply to the Federal powers to tax, to police, and to regulations such as wage and hour laws, disclosure of personal information in record keeping systems, and laws related to strip-mining.

Before I come to the end, allow me to share something you may or may not have heard or read about recently.  The following comes from, “Google Chairman Eric Schmidt: “The Internet Will Disappear””  My thoughts on this is, if you enjoy your privacy, the future is bleak.  To have access to all of that

technology means that every device has to know who you are… wherever you go.  If my assumption is correct, how are you going to live in “tomorrow world”?

These two last points are very interrelated.  Most everyone has seen this photo, but probably like me, I didn’t know the story behind it.  Before I introduce you to the story, allow me to point out there are others in this photo that are not saluting such as the officer in the bottom-center of the photo; he appears to be looking at the cameraman; the officers in the front row are not saluting either, and there may be a couple of others as well.  What really makes August Landmesser stand out is the fact that he has his arms folded as if to say, “I’m not even thinking about saluting this twit!”  Click here to read the story.

Now to close, with a video.

Many of us that aren’t Muslim have serious concerns about our future, no matter what country you live in.  The following video answers a lot of questions, not only that of Islam and its potential threat to the whole of humanity, but to what this whole article is about:  What the Hell is the Matter with You?  The question is asked by a Muslim student, “What about the peaceful Muslims?”  Listen to the reply.  I hope you the best in whatever you decide to do, and I hope you’re ready for the future – whatever it brings:

What We Created

I know, it’s been a long time since I’ve written anything, but it’s not for a lack of things to write about.  I’ve found myself in a similar situation to that of many in the world today – concerned about the world we live on and in. Some of my “down-time” was spent in getting to know my thoughts, and why I had them, then I spent a lot of time remembering and putting back into action something that is so crucial to my life, and everyone’s, “How do I want to live?”

Through little fault of our own, our lives become influenced through the association with others, through our media sources, our sources of entertainment, etc., which seems “hell-bent” on telling us how awful life is, and all the bad things that exist in the world.  This gives wind to the conspiracy theorist and their beliefs in the doom and gloom of the world (I even got swallowed up in that to a degree) all because I/we want someone to “Press the Reset Button.”  All of us know that life sucks everywhere on this planet.  I for one would absolutely love to live somewhere where the air is clean, clean water can be consumed from it’s sources, and foods aren’t contaminated, and those I live near are very intelligent, that is,  we can learn from each other and care for our “space” in the world without concerns of life, health and liberty.  Another thing I can definitely live without – MONEY!  However, there is no such place in our current world.  Even if you can find a society that fits your idea of perfection, climate change is wreaking havoc everywhere.

Before I get to my point, please follow me in a little history – from my point of view:

According to Biblical history, our Source of life created a perfect world – then the Source gave each of us “free will”.  Well, some of you may be saying already that this was a mistake; I’d disagree.  Unless you’re out to create robots, you’d want to create something that has a will of its own, while maintaining some control since you’d already know the capabilities of your creation.   Why not?  Mankind has been working at creating Artificial Intelligence for decades now – our own “god complex”.  This same Source gave us very simple “rules” to live by and if followed, life would still be perfect.  Incidentally, with all the instructions given then, there was never any instructions, nor any mention of, “I’ve created all that is AND I created this religion for you to follow, and if you don’t, surely you will die.”  I can’t speak for anyone else, but my father never demanded that I worship him, but he was always close to me as a father, and as a friend, and he was there to listen to me, and help me.  I see our Source as being very similar – not demanding and aloof, leaving his intent for me in the hands of others.

Okay, moving on:  One very simple “don’t” was given us which like children, we had to go find out, “Is He serious?”, then we found out the hard way, “Yep, He was, and is.”  Well, if you were told not to touch a hot stove, but you do, you’ll bear that burn, physically and/or in memory for the rest of your life (okay, even with plastic surgery, you’ll know why it was done, and where), so consider our lives to be the burn mark all of us have to bear.

Part two of our grandest mistakes was violence (Cain and Able), then part three was MAS violence:

Genesis 6:12-14

King James Version (KJV)

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

… sounds a bit like our current time, doesn’t it?PrisonPlanet-TforG

We’ve created our own prison planet – in more ways than one.

Where all of this becomes confusing is where people have their different versions of what may happen in the future.  There is one thing I know, if our Source doesn’t press the “Reset button”, we will end our own lives through our own violence toward each other, no matter if it’s from greed, avarice, etc.  Incidentally, if you really want to know how “prophecies” were fulfilled, most – but not all – were the product of natural earth phenomenon, instead of some great hand in the sky reaching in to create havoc.

What is the real reason for losing “Paradise”?  Was it disobedience?

What goes before disobedience?  What goes before obedience?

What goes before all action?

Thought!

What do you think about during your day – your night?

Do you think about all the ill’s of the world?  How poor you are?  Do you hate others?  If yes, why?  Is hatred making the world a better place? Do you think about all the things you hope won’t happen?  Are you one that lives in fear, and that’s what you think about most of the time?  If you’re answering “Yes!” to these questions… do you see a pattern?

What you think about is what you’re going to get.  If you’re thinking a lot about the past, that’s where you’re living and you’re not living in the now.

If you’re thinking a lot about the future and suffering anxiety because of the unknown, again, you’re not living in the present – we only have this moment.

People, learn your lessons from the past, then let the past be the past.  There have been many people I grew up with that continually wanted to take me back to the past – I ended up leaving them in the past so I can live now and plan and work for my future.  As for our future; say what you want, then let it go.  In my experiences, if you dwell on the future too much, you sink into anxiety.

To close this thought, what I hope you’ll understand from this entry is to see your problems as solvable issues which start with thoughts of, “How can I make this better?”, then finding the solution(s) and acting on them.  Throughout the day and night, and especially in the mornings as you get out of bed; in the evenings before you go to bed, take time to relax your mind, your thoughts and think of what you have, in gratitude, and give thanks for what you have, and what is yet to come.  Listen to that still/calm voice that is within you and follow its lead – that still/calm voice doesn’t lie… if you’re thinking too much and not listening to that still/calm voice, therein are the lies, you’re hearing your own thoughts. Making the mind quiet, letting yourself be free, this is called meditation.  Your body needs rest, so does your mind, your soul… give it some time… quality time, you’ll even sleep better because of this.

If you continually think of all that is wrong, you’ll create more “Wrong” and I think we’ve had enough of that.

So, continuing with what we have been given….

… it’s YOUR choice.

2013 Update

For those that are still subscribed to this blog – GOOD NEWS!  (possibly)

First of all, allow me to apologize for not continuing my blogging: I got burned-out from blogging five days per weeks and working on other things.

Secondly, since some other plans didn’t work out as I had hoped, I’ve created the Your Thoughts Your Reality Radio (YTYR Radio) program, which the blog entries that appear YTYR-Logo-Largebelow are coming from.  This is an internet based show which is currently being archived in YouTube and soon, in other locations as podcast’s.

We – my co-hosts and I – hope that you will follow the blogs which will become a five day a week entry (one per day from each host) and our bi-weekly shows on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s.  For more information, click on the second “Home” tab in the navigation bar above.  I’ve had our YTYR Radio information imported to this blog page, so pardon me for any confusion that occurs from the combination of tabs in the above nav bar.

If you wish to contact me or my co-hosts, there is a “Contact” page in the new site and so much more.

We hope to see you there!

All the best, always!

Change You Can Believe In

During this time of election debates and slogans that were created to say in short form what the candidate stands for, let’s choose this one today: “Change You Can Believe In!”

A friend of mine from long ago posted a comment about how so many others think the U.S. President is the one that runs the country.  Ironically, I have two blog posts on that same subject from last month, so I shared them with him.

When President Obama ran with that slogan in 2007, it was a good slogan, but the problem is, society has become ignorant spectators.  Harsh?  I think not – unless you’re accustomed only to soft, delicate language.  Why do I use these two words?:

  • Ignorant:  As I stated in yesterday’s post, our society has not carried on the age-old practice of studying the whole truth.  If what we read, hear or see agrees with our take of something – it’s true!  No it’s not!!!  You just found someone who voices your opinion which gives you the feeling of being vindicated because someone with a larger reputation than you just said what you believe.  Most people don’t even know what the opposing views are, so as I often say, “these people couldn’t argue or debate their way out of a wet paper bag!”
  • Spectators:  Times have changed so much:  in the years of my youth, we’d see people who actively took part in social, economic, political, etc., change – the change started with the person.  Now days, we watch others on our televisions, electronically sign petitions via our computers and possibly a few will participate in OWS protests… and from what I see, even a few will antagonize law enforcement officials trying to make them look worse than what they already are – not every law enforcement officer is bad, but like everything else in life, if one subject gets enough media play, it must be true.  For example, if you don’t know any middle-eastern people, and all you know of them is what you hear, read, view on television, etc., then everyone from the mid-east, except Jew‘s, are Arabic and Muslim… and all the Muslims are terrorists.  If you don’t know any Blacks and all you know of Blacks is from music and what your news service feeds you – that most Blacks commit robberies, muggings, killings and theft… then you’re a spectator.

Is it any wonder that I say that we deserve what is coming?  We want change, but we want someone else to make the change while we enjoy the results.  This is the living example of Albert Einstein’s (paraphrased) quote on, “Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over, yet expecting different results.”  As long as we expect others to do what all of us are to do, nothing will change and we’ll continue our downward spiral into the abyss.

One last thing to consider:  I’m not talking about elections only, however I’m not excluding them either.  The change we need has to start within each of us to really make a difference in the world – but of far more value is the change that occurs within each of us for our own benefit – our individual futures, then our collective future… for the future of each and every child… or is that a lost cause as well?

Frequency of the Reality

Here’s one that took my reality to a different level –

Here is a short 10 minute video that can help you to understand the above.  Following this video is a link to another video, but it’s a series of 10 videos running about 10 minutes each.  I highly recommend that you watch that video as well.
