The Great Social Experiment

We say we’re all connected, yet we thrive on what divides us.

There was a television series on cable(?) titled, “Falling Skies” not long ago which was about earth being invaded by aliens.  This was a very well written series.  The story was about a group of aliens which destroyed most of the earth. Its remnant survivors were at times encouraged kindly to accept life on what we’d call, “reservations”.  Of course, the star of the series, and those who followed him, refused the offer and fought to the bitter end – which they of course won.

One of the scenes in season one, episode seven was when the opposition/resistance fighters captured one of the enslaved aliens – ones who had been enslaved from its youth told the star of the program that while humans kill their own, they’d never kill one of their own.  This hit me as an all out truth about humanity.

As a race of beings, we most often think of ourselves as being superior to all other life on this planet.  We study life in almost all ways available to us; some have found ways to alter life, and from what I hear, some think they have created life, in some form or fashion.  The thing we seem to have lost is, quality of life – true quality.  Politicians and corporations, along with their teams of scientists would have us believing they have created a better life for our whole planet.  The question we should be asking ourselves is, “By whose standards?”  These are the same people who have taken control of our planet financially and have each of us believing we have to pay them to live on a planet they neither created, or bought. However,The Great Social Experiment most of us in Western civilization have taken well to the belief that we are born into a material world, so it’s only natural to work, buy, vacation (if and when possible), work some more, have children that you give over to the state and ‘social norms’ which someone other than you have created, work some more, then die… OH!  Don’t forget to take your daily dose of prescription medicines… they have to keep you in control, after all.

Our so-called world leaders have outlawed nature, but do nothing to legalize free thought and encourage self-responsibility.  You are owned, but don’t realize it.  You doubt it?  Try doing something that harms no one… such as “living off of the grid” as the expression goes – living in a home that does not need electricity, public water service or even a sewage system; if the government knows about it, you’ll most likely find yourself in court, fighting for your right to live cleanly on your own.  There are many other experiments you can try, just to find out how free you are.

Religion and the State:

Since I really don’t want to get into writing a book, nor a thesis on this subject, let’s briefly cover two topics which have been in the news recently:

Not long ago, a county clerk (a government employee) in Kentucky decided that her beliefs outweighed a government law/ruling.  In brief, she failed to exercise her duties, which neither hurt or harmed anyone.  Now, she has every right to take her beliefs to the system in which she works (worked?) and have the government reconsider their ruling, but since this law neither hurts or harms anyone, she should exercise her oath of office, or resign.  I see nothing wrong with what Mrs. Davis believes, it is biblically based beliefs, but remember, the U.S.A. is a secular nation, not one built on anyone’s religion.  As I’ve stated about gay and lesbian marriages before:

Gay’s and lesbians are HUMANS first and foremost!  How you treat them says more about you, than what it says about them.  If you don’t really understand why they are as they are – not your biased point of view which is based on beliefs, not facts, then the onus is on you to accept and understand, or be bigoted.

In my youth, I was a member of a Protest Christian denomination, that happened to be, and still is, very fundamental.  I was raised to believe that anyone outside of our (now their) denomination was sure to burn in Hell’s fire.  There are many to this day that believe this to be true of their denomination and religion.  This is why there are so many atheists picking on Christianity – not so much for those that live their faith quietly and in harmony with most everyone else, but for those who are always on a “soap-box”, proclaiming their faith and beliefs.

The one religion which has caught up to, and in some ways, surpassed ‘radical’ Christianity is ‘radical’ Islam.  In days of old, Christianity had its darker side; torture, crusades (overly exaggerated by most), forced “conformity” (the word most used in dictionaries with Christianity), then Protestantism, which brought on a whole new light on conformity.  But after a few centuries of ‘darkness’, the adherents to such strictness, relaxed and learned to live, or as the expression goes, “play nicely with others”.

Radical Islam (Islam’s word origin comes from the Arabic, meaning, “surrender”.  Muslim’s word origin is, “Person who submits”), though in some ways similar to Christianity, is really different.  While Christianity demands conformity, Islam is demanding surrender to their way of life – then you will have peace.  Ummmm…. peace maybe with Allah, but not with each other apparently.

Here are two points I hope to explain well here:

  1. For those who fight against Christians who are genuinely loving, just because they’re Christians, why?  If someone… anyone shows you genuine love, do you really need to know their beliefs?  If a person is wearing a crucifix while helping you, are you truly going to refuse the persons help?  Don’t let the few who give any group of people a bad name be all you know and accept.
  2. With Islam, I have a constant battle in thought about them.  While there are many Muslim’s who are genuinely kind and trustworthy, the problem these days is what is constantly in the media – mainstream media as well as alternative media.  My issues are:  The Koran (English spelling) tells its followers that it’s not only acceptable, but a requirement to lie (tell an untruth) to the infidel (us non-Muslim’s) to accomplish their goals for Allah.  In my broad, but still limited knowledge of other religions, Islam is the only one I know which makes this statement.  So, with this being stated, and with my own experiences with American Muslim’s, and a few Iranian Muslim’s living and studying here, who showed me they are far from being radical, how do we come to a common ground with the influx of immigrants?  How does one tell a poisonous snake from a non-poisonous one?  Not all snakes are poisonous.  Please note: I’m not equating Islam to snakes, but this will become clear when you listen to the words of the video below.

Although there is one thing old and some modern Christians and Muslim’s still have in common: get rid of the original – without Judaism, there wouldn’t be any Christianity; and doubtfully, there would be an Islam.  These two religions don’t want others to know their roots – after all, when the “New and Improved” version of anything comes along, don’t you get rid of the original?

However, during WWII, there were many Christian’s and Muslim’s who helped Jew’s to escape from the Nazi’s, so here are your non-poisonous. There are people everywhere that see and know that we are humans first – all of us live upon the same earth and have equal rights to the earth and each other.  We know that what we do, more than what we say is what our children will learn… and their children.  If we really want a planet of peace, it has to start with each of us, individually, then to our community, then it spreads from there.  Word of note, I’m not saying that this way of life should automatically make the peaceful person a victim to anyone who comes along to force themselves upon us, but be wise and always seek the least violent path, till there is no other way to save yourself and those you care for, the truly peaceful.

I may continue this thought at a later date, but for now, here is the reason I was using the word snake above.  Please listen to the words of the song and understand it with what I’ve expressed above.

There are poisonous snakes, and the non-poisonous.  There are violent dogs, and non-violent.  There are people of peace, there are violent people.  How can we tell the difference?

And one last question:  Is the State influencing your religion? Or is your religion influencing the State?

… or are they working hand-in-hand for control and submission?

The Near Death of Spirituality

For a great deal of my adulthood, I’ve wondered why there was a continuous war against Judaism.  Before you go running off thinking this is about Judaism only, please stick around, it’s not only about Jew’s and Judaism.

While I love to read, I especially love to read things that I can learn from, I haven’t read anything about what I’m going to address here.  This is a culmination of many of the things I’ve read about history, most of what you most likely already know, especially if you attended schools during the sixties and seventies.  I say this because it seems that many that attended schools after that era know little to nothing about history – or a very revised history.

Recently, I was preparing for one of my radio programs and this thought came to mind, “Why are people so willing to accept what is told them?”  Well, as life often does, during the radio program, the answer came indirectly through one of my guests.  It was like a huge flash in a pan of hot oil!  After the realization hit me, I felt relieved to finally understand, yet stupid for not adding 2 + 2 for all these years.  What I mean is, I know a lot about religious and secular history; I know a lot about the dark ages and the inquisitions, but I never added the one “ingredient” that made me understand it all a lot better.

I finally came to understand that as Rome fell from its greatness, the Christian Church, which was still new became the Catholic (Latin for Universal) Church.  As one De Paul University professor, a Catholic Priest, explained it in a Comparative Religion Class, “… the word Catholic is Latin for Universal.  This means that at the churches inception, it took the best from all of the major religions of that time…”  He then wrote on the board a long list of old and extinct religions such as Zoroastrianism (still alive), Mithra-ism, Hellenism, Judaism, Christianity, and many more.  In other words, the creators of the Catholic Church were seeking to bind all of the religions of the day into a ‘One World Church’.  If man can have a bit of each religion embodied in one religion, the hope was to makeWarForSpirit 2 the appeal to everyone that they could unite the world.  After centuries of slow growth, the dark ages came upon Europe, meaning that if you weren’t one of the “fold”, the reigning governments under the church could and did make life very difficult for anyone not “sanctioned” to do business as well as making life very difficult.

Okay, most of us know that part, but what I forgot was, the Catholic Church went throughout the world seeking out all those who lived differently than what the church condoned.  What we know is that the church either converted them and/or killed those they found.  What few know or remember is that the church kept the information they came across of any religions that had a strong spiritual basis.  By killing off the smaller groups/societies, they pretty much eliminated the information, leaving the Vatican Archives with most of that information.

Here is where my ‘lighting bolt’ (I’m trying not to say epiphany) of realization flashed in:  When there is one group seeking one-world control through their combining of all of the worlds religions – someone is seeking control.  Every ancient land they went to, they destroyed not only their culture, but specifically their religions… their connections to our source of life, who most of us call, G-d.  So why hate Judaism?  Judaism is NOT just a religion, it is a way of life.  Judaism is something that is lived ever part of everyday, and I do not mean just observances or doing something without knowing why.  While there are many things in Judaism that are not fully understood, there are more that are.  But without getting too deeply involved in that, the point I really wish to bring out is that there is a very strong knowledge and sense of spirituality within Judaism.  Not only has the Catholic Church tried to wipe out Judaism, other religions and governments around the world have tried.  Why?  If you can remove the spirituality from people, if you can remove not only a belief in our Creator, you can control the individual, a community, a country… the world.

Take a look around you – how many people are trying to win your heart, your soul with their beliefs?  From people knocking on your door, asking to speak with you about their beliefs, never asking if you’re seeking for anything, then becoming upset or angry at you for not “believing”: or the fundamentalist atheist who is just as intrusive as his/her religious counterpart, wanting to convince you to lose all belief in any Deity.  Then there are those that get us to focus on money, materialism and possessions.  Let’s not forget those that get us to focus on family and a whole host of other things that can, and oft-times does get us to focus on anything but our connection with our Creator.  Now we have the “Radical Muslim” who is threatening to, and is in some places actually killing those that don’t convert.

What is important to everyone is what most, if not all Jewish Rabbi’s*  will tell you, “You don’t have to be Jewish to know G-d.”  Why is this stated?  Throughout the ‘creation story’, there is NOT to be found any text stating that the Creator created a religion.  The controlling religions tell you that if you leave their fold, voluntarily or by being kicked-out, or excommunicated, you will go to hell.  There is more control in that than any direction to a loving Deity.

The world is actively fighting for control over each one of us – some don’t care, others don’t know, and will willfully go along with the plan of men.  Others will see this as a war for freedom in government and fight their governments, corporations and a financial system only, and ignore their core.  Those of us that see and know the fight is about our soul and what sets us free will fight for each other, because all else is as it should be.

*some clergy who call themselves, "Messianic Jew's" call themselves Rabbi,
but they're Christians, therefore Judaism does not recognize them as
authentic Rabbi's

Mastering Self – My Notes

While the audio version of this is airing in podcast on K WAVe 6 Radio, here are my notes for that podcast:

  1. Living in a time when hedonism and narcissism is rampant;
  2. Degrees, diplomas, certificates… anything that speaks of our importance/differences, things that separate, not unite – the documentary Kumaré;Steve+Allen+0001
  3. An inability, or lack of desire to see what is in plain sight, or hidden [though it’s easy to see] – mass media, alternative media – our own ability to discern;
  4. Yielding to popular thoughts and ideas – not learning [because we’re too busy conforming];
  5. Purchasing [material goods] without regard to [the cost on the ecology in] manufacturing;
  6. Spiritual leaders ignored – some should be – the ancient [spiritual leaders that were true leaders for the good of all] were ignored;
  7. Are you a leader, follower, or an individual?
  8. Community vs. Individuality.  Can you be an individual in a/your community?
  9. Can you be “saved” or “ascend” as a community, or only as an individual?

The sentences with square brackets “[ ]” have been added so you can have a better idea of my thoughts.

I hope the nine lines above help you in your quest to Master Yourself.

All the best!

Two Pages

Recently, I was given a book.  It is an old book and its name is all but worn away.

The first several hundred pages are written on old and worn parchment, but as I scan the pages, I notice the pages change in quality and in age.

Now that I’ve scanned and have a “feel” for this book of mysteries, I now open the book to two random pages.  The print is surprisingly small, but in some unknown manner, each line I read seems to enlarge as if by some unseen magnifying glass.  Reading just one page seems to take forever.

After reading a mere few pages and noticing the dramatic changes in the heavens, I began to notice the pattern of the mysterious book which is written without demarcation.

The pattern, now clear to me is that each page starts a new day in history.  The division  between the two pages is mid-day, but not as man measures time.  At the end of the second page is the close of each day.

Another mystery of the book unfolded before me.  I was allowed to see and read a mere pittance of a planets history, two pages – a day at a time.OldBook-for Blog - Two Pages

The book, while larger than any text-book, and compressed with what seems to be an insurmountable amount of information tells of the history of a planet from its conception, to its current moment.  The book is a summary of each event that produced significant change in its history.

This book, like any book has a beginning and a middle, but like any story of life, it is incomplete – the end cannot be written while the subject continues to unfold…

… just as each of us unfold each day, two pages at a time.

The Choices We Have, Make and Must Live With

First of all, allow me to apologize for not posting more often.  Many times I have thoughts I’d love to write about, but for any one of many reasons, or excuses, they never appear here.

This morning, when I awoke, the following thoughts were on my mind; thoughts that actually started yesterday, developed into a couple of pictures being put together, then quoting myself.  I then posted that picture-quote in one of my other blogs.  I thought that would be the end of those thoughts, but gladly, they’re not.

Many of us have grown up reading and have been taught the various “stories” of creation and their meanings, and the “story” of how the fall of humanity happened and what that means to us.  Building from that thought, without posting quotations, I invite you to consider the following.

In simple form, Adam and Eve were created in, and to live in the quintessential paradise, a ‘Heaven on Earth’.  Our Creator told them in simple terms, “You can consume anything in the garden that you want (He even whet their appetites with all that grows there), but DON’T eat the fruit of just ONE particular tree.

Okay, now that we have the basic’s reestablished, let’s move on.

Let’s take a look at somethings that most of us overlook, but also are the main thoughts I’m presenting for your consideration:

  • Adam and Eve were created perfect and given paradise
  • They knew nothing else
  • What was life like before their choice?
  • Why did Eve choose as she did?
  • Why did Adam choose as he did?
  • The end results

… sounds long doesn’t it?  😀  It won’t be… continue on 😉

Imagine (“… if you will…”) a place full of color, no pollution and nothing to stick you, including possibly not even a mosquito.  Imagine seeing not only the physical splendor of your home, but beyond that… energy flowing, ebbing… colors we can barely imagine now, because our physical eyes, hearing and all other senses have limitations – that is, they only respond to certain stimuli – light, sound – vibrations/frequencies.  With the ability toEve-Choice experience the world in such a broad spectrum, is there any wonder that they noticed after eating that forbidden fruit, their senses have become dulled? With the ability to see energy flowing everywhere, including being the ‘clothing’ they knew, then the ability now gone, wouldn’t you notice that you are “naked”?  Does this sound far-fetched to you?  Why?  After all, the text does say that they, Adam and Eve were created in our Creator’s likeness, yes?

There they are, two perfect beings living in a perfect place.   They even had somethings to do – keep the place up, care for all that was created before them, and enjoy.  They had only one limitationdon’t eat the one thing that will bring your fall from perfection.

So, why did they make that fateful choice?  They knew nothing else.  Many people I know love to say, “The Devil made me do it!”  For sure, that’s the easiest way to ‘solve’ the question, blame someone else, but that doesn’t work.  They were created perfect, in a perfect place – they knew nothing of death, degeneration, and the world has never appeared any different to them… till after they ate the wrong thing.  So why did they ‘sin’ [miss the mark] ?

I’ll venture to say that it was curiosity.  Their personal curiosity that was such a strong “feeling” that the desire became their “god” [of the moment].  That ONE thing that took them away from their simple duty, obligation to self;  that which kept them close to The Creator.  Their decision, no matter whether it was a serpent that tempted Eve, or Adam felt he couldn’t live without Eve – for whatever reason he chose to follow her, he did.  Their personal desires purposely or not, challenged the one law/rule/limitation given them, and that was THEIR choice that brought their fall.

We have choices to make several times per day.  YOUR choices take you and those around you down a path of no return – unlike a computer which you can erase a program, or delete a letter, number, sentence, paragraph, and so on.

If you want a better life, consider your choices… remember your choices and your simple rules and laws in life:

  1. You already know what is right and wrong, even if someone taught you differently.  Life and Love are the most precious things, or “commodities” (if you like to think in this manner) given us.  Neither are to be used as instruments of control over others;
  2. We don’t have time-machines, so we can’t undo what has been [or will be] done.  Choose well;

If you want a better life, make it start with your thoughts, then make your actions follow the best of your thoughts and decisions lest you fall from your current…

NOTE:

The past is gone – unchangeable, so don’t become depressed:

The future hasn’t arrived, so don’t be anxious.

Live the present moment.  Be happy, love life and all others, starting with our Creator to the smallest creature.  Think of it this way:  All life has one source and like you, all has an individual purpose.

As always,

All the best!

Passion for Emotional Release

I often wonder what drives people to answer, or respond to life’s questions and statements.  Today, I got a smattering of an answer.

One of my dear cousins in Europe was posting in facebook, and it seemed that she was a bit frustrated with people correcting her, and/or making judgments about her posts.  We Thinking2essentially got into a conversation about some things we know to be true, but many of the “general public” know little to nothing about, but are more than happy to make assumptions upon from what can be only be termed as willful ignorance.

Another [recent] friend in facebook seems to have a penchant for “stirring the pot”.  At first, it seemed odd that she would say some of the things she does, but when I answered with information I can reference, she didn’t counter my statements.  I eventually asked her if she was “stirring the pot” for the sake of conversation… she pretty much (not directly) admitted that she does so on purpose.  What I’ve found interesting in what she does is, she makes statements [usually] or questions that purposefully get under peoples “skin”.  What’s most interesting is what happens next – people reply from their emotions, not from logic, not with material that can be proven, mostly just emotional responses.

If I were taking a survey on how most people respond to information contradictory to a segment of society’s beliefs, or questions that can inflame tempers, I’d say that from these two sources – and probably many others – I’d have my answers: people respond to most stimuli through emotions.

Now, my question is, do people respond through emotions because it is something of a personal nature, or a lack of information?

… oh, I may as well ask one more question:  how do emotional responses affect the world in which we live?

What We Created

I know, it’s been a long time since I’ve written anything, but it’s not for a lack of things to write about.  I’ve found myself in a similar situation to that of many in the world today – concerned about the world we live on and in. Some of my “down-time” was spent in getting to know my thoughts, and why I had them, then I spent a lot of time remembering and putting back into action something that is so crucial to my life, and everyone’s, “How do I want to live?”

Through little fault of our own, our lives become influenced through the association with others, through our media sources, our sources of entertainment, etc., which seems “hell-bent” on telling us how awful life is, and all the bad things that exist in the world.  This gives wind to the conspiracy theorist and their beliefs in the doom and gloom of the world (I even got swallowed up in that to a degree) all because I/we want someone to “Press the Reset Button.”  All of us know that life sucks everywhere on this planet.  I for one would absolutely love to live somewhere where the air is clean, clean water can be consumed from it’s sources, and foods aren’t contaminated, and those I live near are very intelligent, that is,  we can learn from each other and care for our “space” in the world without concerns of life, health and liberty.  Another thing I can definitely live without – MONEY!  However, there is no such place in our current world.  Even if you can find a society that fits your idea of perfection, climate change is wreaking havoc everywhere.

Before I get to my point, please follow me in a little history – from my point of view:

According to Biblical history, our Source of life created a perfect world – then the Source gave each of us “free will”.  Well, some of you may be saying already that this was a mistake; I’d disagree.  Unless you’re out to create robots, you’d want to create something that has a will of its own, while maintaining some control since you’d already know the capabilities of your creation.   Why not?  Mankind has been working at creating Artificial Intelligence for decades now – our own “god complex”.  This same Source gave us very simple “rules” to live by and if followed, life would still be perfect.  Incidentally, with all the instructions given then, there was never any instructions, nor any mention of, “I’ve created all that is AND I created this religion for you to follow, and if you don’t, surely you will die.”  I can’t speak for anyone else, but my father never demanded that I worship him, but he was always close to me as a father, and as a friend, and he was there to listen to me, and help me.  I see our Source as being very similar – not demanding and aloof, leaving his intent for me in the hands of others.

Okay, moving on:  One very simple “don’t” was given us which like children, we had to go find out, “Is He serious?”, then we found out the hard way, “Yep, He was, and is.”  Well, if you were told not to touch a hot stove, but you do, you’ll bear that burn, physically and/or in memory for the rest of your life (okay, even with plastic surgery, you’ll know why it was done, and where), so consider our lives to be the burn mark all of us have to bear.

Part two of our grandest mistakes was violence (Cain and Able), then part three was MAS violence:

Genesis 6:12-14

King James Version (KJV)

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

… sounds a bit like our current time, doesn’t it?PrisonPlanet-TforG

We’ve created our own prison planet – in more ways than one.

Where all of this becomes confusing is where people have their different versions of what may happen in the future.  There is one thing I know, if our Source doesn’t press the “Reset button”, we will end our own lives through our own violence toward each other, no matter if it’s from greed, avarice, etc.  Incidentally, if you really want to know how “prophecies” were fulfilled, most – but not all – were the product of natural earth phenomenon, instead of some great hand in the sky reaching in to create havoc.

What is the real reason for losing “Paradise”?  Was it disobedience?

What goes before disobedience?  What goes before obedience?

What goes before all action?

Thought!

What do you think about during your day – your night?

Do you think about all the ill’s of the world?  How poor you are?  Do you hate others?  If yes, why?  Is hatred making the world a better place? Do you think about all the things you hope won’t happen?  Are you one that lives in fear, and that’s what you think about most of the time?  If you’re answering “Yes!” to these questions… do you see a pattern?

What you think about is what you’re going to get.  If you’re thinking a lot about the past, that’s where you’re living and you’re not living in the now.

If you’re thinking a lot about the future and suffering anxiety because of the unknown, again, you’re not living in the present – we only have this moment.

People, learn your lessons from the past, then let the past be the past.  There have been many people I grew up with that continually wanted to take me back to the past – I ended up leaving them in the past so I can live now and plan and work for my future.  As for our future; say what you want, then let it go.  In my experiences, if you dwell on the future too much, you sink into anxiety.

To close this thought, what I hope you’ll understand from this entry is to see your problems as solvable issues which start with thoughts of, “How can I make this better?”, then finding the solution(s) and acting on them.  Throughout the day and night, and especially in the mornings as you get out of bed; in the evenings before you go to bed, take time to relax your mind, your thoughts and think of what you have, in gratitude, and give thanks for what you have, and what is yet to come.  Listen to that still/calm voice that is within you and follow its lead – that still/calm voice doesn’t lie… if you’re thinking too much and not listening to that still/calm voice, therein are the lies, you’re hearing your own thoughts. Making the mind quiet, letting yourself be free, this is called meditation.  Your body needs rest, so does your mind, your soul… give it some time… quality time, you’ll even sleep better because of this.

If you continually think of all that is wrong, you’ll create more “Wrong” and I think we’ve had enough of that.

So, continuing with what we have been given….

… it’s YOUR choice.
