Mastering Self – My Notes

While the audio version of this is airing in podcast on K WAVe 6 Radio, here are my notes for that podcast:

  1. Living in a time when hedonism and narcissism is rampant;
  2. Degrees, diplomas, certificates… anything that speaks of our importance/differences, things that separate, not unite – the documentary Kumaré;Steve+Allen+0001
  3. An inability, or lack of desire to see what is in plain sight, or hidden [though it’s easy to see] – mass media, alternative media – our own ability to discern;
  4. Yielding to popular thoughts and ideas – not learning [because we’re too busy conforming];
  5. Purchasing [material goods] without regard to [the cost on the ecology in] manufacturing;
  6. Spiritual leaders ignored – some should be – the ancient [spiritual leaders that were true leaders for the good of all] were ignored;
  7. Are you a leader, follower, or an individual?
  8. Community vs. Individuality.  Can you be an individual in a/your community?
  9. Can you be “saved” or “ascend” as a community, or only as an individual?

The sentences with square brackets “[ ]” have been added so you can have a better idea of my thoughts.

I hope the nine lines above help you in your quest to Master Yourself.

All the best!

What We Created

I know, it’s been a long time since I’ve written anything, but it’s not for a lack of things to write about.  I’ve found myself in a similar situation to that of many in the world today – concerned about the world we live on and in. Some of my “down-time” was spent in getting to know my thoughts, and why I had them, then I spent a lot of time remembering and putting back into action something that is so crucial to my life, and everyone’s, “How do I want to live?”

Through little fault of our own, our lives become influenced through the association with others, through our media sources, our sources of entertainment, etc., which seems “hell-bent” on telling us how awful life is, and all the bad things that exist in the world.  This gives wind to the conspiracy theorist and their beliefs in the doom and gloom of the world (I even got swallowed up in that to a degree) all because I/we want someone to “Press the Reset Button.”  All of us know that life sucks everywhere on this planet.  I for one would absolutely love to live somewhere where the air is clean, clean water can be consumed from it’s sources, and foods aren’t contaminated, and those I live near are very intelligent, that is,  we can learn from each other and care for our “space” in the world without concerns of life, health and liberty.  Another thing I can definitely live without – MONEY!  However, there is no such place in our current world.  Even if you can find a society that fits your idea of perfection, climate change is wreaking havoc everywhere.

Before I get to my point, please follow me in a little history – from my point of view:

According to Biblical history, our Source of life created a perfect world – then the Source gave each of us “free will”.  Well, some of you may be saying already that this was a mistake; I’d disagree.  Unless you’re out to create robots, you’d want to create something that has a will of its own, while maintaining some control since you’d already know the capabilities of your creation.   Why not?  Mankind has been working at creating Artificial Intelligence for decades now – our own “god complex”.  This same Source gave us very simple “rules” to live by and if followed, life would still be perfect.  Incidentally, with all the instructions given then, there was never any instructions, nor any mention of, “I’ve created all that is AND I created this religion for you to follow, and if you don’t, surely you will die.”  I can’t speak for anyone else, but my father never demanded that I worship him, but he was always close to me as a father, and as a friend, and he was there to listen to me, and help me.  I see our Source as being very similar – not demanding and aloof, leaving his intent for me in the hands of others.

Okay, moving on:  One very simple “don’t” was given us which like children, we had to go find out, “Is He serious?”, then we found out the hard way, “Yep, He was, and is.”  Well, if you were told not to touch a hot stove, but you do, you’ll bear that burn, physically and/or in memory for the rest of your life (okay, even with plastic surgery, you’ll know why it was done, and where), so consider our lives to be the burn mark all of us have to bear.

Part two of our grandest mistakes was violence (Cain and Able), then part three was MAS violence:

Genesis 6:12-14

King James Version (KJV)

12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

… sounds a bit like our current time, doesn’t it?PrisonPlanet-TforG

We’ve created our own prison planet – in more ways than one.

Where all of this becomes confusing is where people have their different versions of what may happen in the future.  There is one thing I know, if our Source doesn’t press the “Reset button”, we will end our own lives through our own violence toward each other, no matter if it’s from greed, avarice, etc.  Incidentally, if you really want to know how “prophecies” were fulfilled, most – but not all – were the product of natural earth phenomenon, instead of some great hand in the sky reaching in to create havoc.

What is the real reason for losing “Paradise”?  Was it disobedience?

What goes before disobedience?  What goes before obedience?

What goes before all action?

What do you think about during your day – your night?

Do you think about all the ill’s of the world?  How poor you are?  Do you hate others?  If yes, why?  Is hatred making the world a better place? Do you think about all the things you hope won’t happen?  Are you one that lives in fear, and that’s what you think about most of the time?  If you’re answering “Yes!” to these questions… do you see a pattern?

What you think about is what you’re going to get.  If you’re thinking a lot about the past, that’s where you’re living and you’re not living in the now.

If you’re thinking a lot about the future and suffering anxiety because of the unknown, again, you’re not living in the present – we only have this moment.

People, learn your lessons from the past, then let the past be the past.  There have been many people I grew up with that continually wanted to take me back to the past – I ended up leaving them in the past so I can live now and plan and work for my future.  As for our future; say what you want, then let it go.  In my experiences, if you dwell on the future too much, you sink into anxiety.

To close this thought, what I hope you’ll understand from this entry is to see your problems as solvable issues which start with thoughts of, “How can I make this better?”, then finding the solution(s) and acting on them.  Throughout the day and night, and especially in the mornings as you get out of bed; in the evenings before you go to bed, take time to relax your mind, your thoughts and think of what you have, in gratitude, and give thanks for what you have, and what is yet to come.  Listen to that still/calm voice that is within you and follow its lead – that still/calm voice doesn’t lie… if you’re thinking too much and not listening to that still/calm voice, therein are the lies, you’re hearing your own thoughts. Making the mind quiet, letting yourself be free, this is called meditation.  Your body needs rest, so does your mind, your soul… give it some time… quality time, you’ll even sleep better because of this.

If you continually think of all that is wrong, you’ll create more “Wrong” and I think we’ve had enough of that.

So, continuing with what we have been given….

… it’s YOUR choice.

With all that is written and spoken about how to better our lives/ourselves in videos, movies, audio books and so much more, our society still circles the drain.  Do our egos get in our way?  Are we still practicing intellectual segregation?  Or are we polarizing ourselves as we do in election years? – My guru is smarter than your guru!

If all you’re doing is reading a book and thinking your intellect will bring you to a better understanding – it’s no wonder we still circle the drain.  I’ve tried to help you understand with this weeks posts, but I dare say many still don’t understand, so I’ll try to make it simple:

We live in a world of frequencies.  Light is perceived by the eyes as frequencies; sound is measured in frequencies; touch is measured in frequencies… EVERYTHING we experience is related to frequencies.  When we talk about how we feel about someone, many of us say, “I don’t get a good vibe about that person… “, or, “I really get  a good feeling when I’m with that person.”  Those of us that know about Reiki, Tai Chi, QiGong, light and sound therapies, drumming and music therapies know that all of these and more are all related to frequencies.

Your thoughts are frequencies, which means you constantly create your own world.  You’ll draw and repel people according to your thoughts, and most importantly, you’re making your future via your thoughts.  No matter what happens by the end of this year, or by the end of your life – whenever that is – your thoughts will create your future as well as your present – your time right now.

In the end; your end or our end… you, all of us will get what we deserve, and you won’t be able to blame anyone, or give credit to anyone for where your journey ends, but yourself.

Everywhere we turn; television, radio, print media, the internet, etc., there are commentaries about “our enemies”.  There are theories about presidential candidates; corrupt bankers and corporations… collectively, we point our fingers at someone else – place the blame for our ill’s upon someone else.  Why?  Because it’s easier to point outside ourselves, wanting someone else to change rather than see there is a problem within us, the individual.  We’d rather think that we’re ok, but everyone else needs to change.  This is the time to know your enemy – it’s not governments, bankers, corporations, police, military, thieves, murderers, religions, atheists, et al, your enemy is… you!

What We See, What is Seen and What is Understood

The world in which we live in is far more vast than we can even speculate upon.  The unfortunate part of this is that most of us – as a population – would rather concern ourselves with what I call, the mundane… the physical world in which we sense through physical means; sight, sound, smell, touch and taste – the sensory modes of the physical world.  Is there any wonder why there are so many that are addicted to watching movies, sports, anything visual including voyeurism?  I love listening to music, but there are those that are addicted to… talk radio.  Ahhhh, the scent of a woman: the touch of someone who cares, loves, and that of passion: and taste which leads many to over-eat.  But isn’t there more to life than the physical senses?

Let me break the following into two different groups; the mere conformist, which I’ll call merely, conformist; and those that live what they know, which I’ll call, spiritual.  Many years ago when I would engage others in conversations, or if they wished to engage me, I’d ask, “are you religious or spiritual?”  Many had no idea of what I meant, but some did.  Through my experiences, those that are “religious” are the conformists… if whatever is spoken about isn’t written in their scriptures, they either don’t have an opinion; it’s wrong; it doesn’t exist… anything negative, and their minds are closed to anything outside their realm of reality.  Those that are “spiritual” are those that usually admit openly that there is a world of possibilities yet to explore and understand and have little to no problem with incorporating religion and science in order to understand life better – as long as the two are in balance.

In yesterday’s post, we hinted a little on the “connectedness” of man.  Let’s delve a bit more into this today.

One of my thoughts concerning this connectedness has been, is there a type of mass hypnosis applied to all of humanity?  This I doubt, unless you wish to understand the limitations of our senses in a field of frequencies as hypnosis.  Just as our ears can only perceive sounds within certain frequencies, we have the same limitations in sight, taste, touch, smell… etc., but here, we’re only speaking of the physical: what of the spirit?

There are many things we can experience via our spirit… if you really want too.  When you break free from the conformities that we were taught, you begin to understand.  If you’re Christian, you’ll remember this expression, “Seek and you shall find…”.  When you remember that your scriptures (no matter what religion) teaches you the basics, the examples and is a guide to a better life, not only for you, but for all of humanity… to accept others as they are, not as you wish, or believe them to be… just search for your relationship with our Source, then you experience the real world of connectedness, which is spiritual.

91 Days and Counting

In just a tad over three months, we’ll experience the 21st day of December, 2012 – a day that is frightening a lot of people.  Fear that is ranging from thoughts of, “the end of the world”, “the end of the world as we know it”, and thoughts of Planet X/Nibiru coming, and to the more obscure – an alien invasion.  Here is my problem with all of this – it’s all based on –

What do people do when they’re afraid?  They over-react.  They buy and store guns, ammunition, an inordinate supply of food and so on.  How does anyone bring anything good out of fear of the unknown?  People are afraid of losing their possessions, but show in very obvious ways, they have no value for their inner-self.  There is no inner peace – and from what I see, most of these people have no idea what inner-peace is, or means.  Some that I have asked have responded with religious based answers.  In my lifetime, I’ve experienced a lot:  I’ve seen those that have professed strong religious beliefs when calm, but when shaken, they, in comparison, become incontinent babies.  Belief in a “book” is not the same as a relationship with your Creator – and/or knowing yourself.

I’ve seen and still see people who think that their Creator/G-d/Savior… is their genie in a bottle.  I often hear many say, “G-d will provide”, and “G-d will give me what I want,” “He will provide.”  In short, as long as their G-d (or gods) provide, they’re all good with that/those Being(s).  When they don’t get what they want, they resort to, “G-d has forsaken me.” For me, these people are spoiled brats!  Those of us that have participated in sports, been in the military, done more than go to school, college, university – usually on daddy’s and mommy’s dime, then straight into a “sweet” job/career know that to grow, you need to fail at somethings… you need to fall so you learn how to get up.  If you don’t fail at something, you don’t learn how to be self-sufficient, or even who and how to ask for help.

So, here are a few questions for you:  What are you focusing on?  Are you fearful of the unknown?  Are you fearful of the future and what it MAY bring?  If yes, why?

The photo to the right is your answer, but so many people don’t understand simple answers, so let me attempt to help a bit:  How you create a relationship with your G-d/gods is to constantly think and talk with Him/them – your thoughts become prayers: you come to know, understand and accept reality instead of delusions of grandeur… your present life and your future become calm, and fear leaves.  Answers come through your intuition that you learn to trust and you start learning more from those times you fall and get back up.

The best things in life are the simple things… and fear is complicated.

Cleaning Out the Old, Preparing for the New

For those of you that follow this blog at least fairly regularly, you know that recently I suffered through a chest cold for a little over a week.  When we’re ill, we end up with a lot of time to think, or just sit or lay idly while recuperating.  Well, during my ‘down-time’, I decided to change my usual approach to life and societies ill’s and take a more pro-active stance.  There are too many lie’s told by those that earn a living by “spinning” the myriad of lies we face daily – an endless job which really doesn’t benefit anyone by looking at the negatives of life.
Instead, after this week, or even starting this week, I hope to present things that will help all of us to see life differently and in turn, help all of us to “Clean out the old and prepare for the new that’s coming.”

One of the reasons for this “change” is that I’m seeing a lot of people I know, as well as those I don’t know, talking about how each feels a change is coming… noticing how others around them are changing – usually for the worse.  I hope that my experiences and suggestions will benefit all that come here.  I don’t profess to have all the answers, but I’m willing to help and discuss what I know… even find answers when I don’t know.  None of us are in this world alone, so let’s join together and help each other – without egos.

A Better World – A Better Life

SO many people want a better world, including me.  Someone I consider to be wise said (paraphrased), “There are around 6 billion people in the world… imagine 6 billion wishes for a better world.”  No one agrees on what is best for anyone, this is true for everyone.  We can’t agree on religious beliefs without fighting, elections are the same:  what makes you happy doesn’t make another person happy… So how do we get a better world?

Be yourself!

You were born unique to the world, complete with flaws, like everyone else.  The way for you, me, and everyone else to change the world is first by accepting who and what you are, loving yourself and being your best.
Watch how those around you pick up on the inner peace and love that your inner energy exudes!
